Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.

My Rating: 5 stars!

My Thoughts:

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It had everything that I love in a story! It had romance, action, and lots and lots of wit. This book was clever! The writing and characters were all one of a kind and they’re what made this story so phenomenal!

There was not a second in this book that I was bored! It was always action or humor packed and had me flipping the pages faster than I could read! There were parts that had me holding my breath waiting to see what would happen and moments where my heart skipped a beat! And the romance, it wasn’t beautiful…it was believable, real, and fun!

From the second that Katy and Daemon meet there is tension! They fight constantly and act like they hate each other but that is definitely not the case! Both their characters were so real and I felt that I actually knew them and their personalities. Katy was easy to connect with being a little dorky with her love for books and having a witty don’t-take-anyone’s-crap personality. I liked her right from the start! And Daemon…well I loved him right from the start! He is completely swoon-worthy and he constantly made me laugh which definitely earned him bonus points. ; ) Their constant back and forth banter was written so well that I have to commend Jennifer L. Armentrout for being so clever!

I will admit that when I first read the blurb about this book, I thought “ehhh aliens…” but boy was I wrong! If you are also one of these people then, not to sound rude, but you are also wrong! There isn’t a bad thing about this book! In fact it is definitely one of my favorites reads of all time! This book has loveable characters, incredible writing, and an amazing story!

If you couldn’t tell, this is a MUST READ!!
